Charles Sucsan was born in Paris, France in 1932 to Hungarian parents.  Sucsan studied in Paris and Budapest in ceramics, drawing and painting.  He moved permanently to Montreal in 1960 all the while staying in close contact with his colleagues and artistic developments in Europe.  He was decorated with a medal by the Société Académique de Paris, Art-Sciences-Lettres.  Through his career, Sucsan has completed numerous large scale murals, as well as smaller scale canvases and ceramic works with topography described as “serrated”.  Sucsan continues to create and show his work.  He currently resides in the Montreal area.
